PhD Researcher’s Production Team Wins University’s Enterprise Challenge Prize

Semester 1 19/20’s Enterprise Challenge Final saw 15 teams battle it out for the New Ideas Award and for the Most Enterprising Team Award.

The New Ideas Award, was won by Matchlit Productions, headed by Ari Brin, who began her PhD on the SF of Robert Duncan Milne in September, assisted by (among others) Renée Dumenil, a first year School of Humanities student. The award consists of £1,000 prize money towards their start up business aiming to offer improv related social events for students. Ari has already met with the Centre for Entrepreneurship regarding next steps, and successfully pitched a Victorian séance theme for an immersive theatre experience based on her research.

Congratulations to Ari, Renée and their colleagues for their wonderfully innovative success!
