M.Litt graduate and creative writing tutor, Josephine Jules Andrews, wins Harper-Wood Studentship from St John’s College Cambridge.

Congratulations to our MLitt graduate and tutor of Memoir and Creative Non-Fiction, Josephine Jules Andrews, who has been awarded the 2019-20 Harper-Wood Studentship for English Poetry and Literature from St John’s College Cambridge.
Josephine has been working on a fragmentary memoir which includes ten years spent in Madagascar. In 2020, 20 years since she was last there, the award will allow her to return to Madagascar, create new work and consolidate her project.
Josephine graduated with a MLitt in Writing Practice and Study with Distinction in 2013. She has taught memoir and creative non-fiction in the School of Humanities since 2013 and won the Student Led Teaching Award for Most Inspirational Teaching in 2017.
