‘Frankenstein Re-membered’, a specially created film by one of 4C’s practice-based PhD students, now available online.

Chris Gerrard’s film, one of the highlights of this year’s Being Human ‘Frankenstein Returns’ programme celebrating the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s novel, given its premiere at the DCA is now available to review on the link below.

Frankenstein Re-membered

A video artist and film historian Chris has collected together diverse fragments from the birth of cinema until the present day.
In the tradition of Victor Frankenstein himself, he has stitched them back together into a composite filmic ‘body’.
He thus recreates Mary Shelley’s story and brings it to life in a form which recollects its fundamental influence on cinema in a new way.
